Picking Your Plants
When choosing your plants, pick a variety of shapes, colours and forms. You want to create different layers of greenery to create visual depth. If you’re not sure what would look good together, ask the nursery staff for help.
The Steps
1. Add Gravel
First, you want to add a layer of gravel to the bottom of your pot. This will ensure proper drainage for your succulent bowl.
2. Add Soil
Then you want to add a thin layer of soil. Once the plants are in then you fill in around the plants.
3. Layout Plants
Then try different planting arrangements for your succulents to see what looks good. Once you have decided gently remove them from the pots and fill in with leftover soil.
4. Pat Down Soil
The last step is to pat down the soil and ensure the plants are snug. Make sure to give them a little water also to welcome them into their new home.
